Georgia Southern Football, Chad Lunsford

Georgia Southern no secret has had a rough season. Coach Lunsford has brought more energy to the team. He has also brought energy back to the fan base of Georgia Southern. Why do I say that.? Because he has brought the flexbone back under Center and fans are loving it. I see great things coming as mentioned in an interview by Terry Harvin mr. Russell stated the splits 60 defense was used once that created Junkyard Dog defense. But all reality it was stated by mr. Russell that if faced by an offense that entailed a different defense it would always be implemented on defense to basically mirror offensive plays. Georgia Southern looks Forward to seeing an optional defense employed in these situations such as long Pass Plays, running plays such as plays hitting the middle of the defense when this is happening maybe a player can cheat up and hit the middle Gap make them go to the outside gaps. Put some meaty guys in the middle of the field at linebacker. So we can watch the Run have a little bit bigger wall to breakthrough while we are on defense. With the defense stuffing the in side holes to the perimeter on the outside forces offenses to run the offenses to the outside, lower yardage statistics,Small adjustments like this can influence the outcome of each game. You must Force opponents running game to the outside Perimeter Point Blank. By filling the gaps with meaty guys you force it to the outside if they're running. You must have a scheme for the passing game while employing this . Now on offense the triple-option must stay influenced it is our identity as our school as is it is the identity of all past football players at the school. And must I say while under Center it brought great memories back of past teams they're looking good under Center when ran under Center plays produce positive yards. And as I will agree with Coach Lunsford I would also like to say that in the shotgun mode of our triple-option version passing plays mean bigger yardage so the passing plays are important to Georgia Southern we'd like to see passing plays here at Georgia Southern we want positive yards and if passing games not working we want running game ,the running games not working, we want passing game but if both are working we got a big day based off of tradition the triple-option offense is what we instill, but no one's going to argue with you if you implement a passing game that actually works into our scheme of things Georgia Southern has based its Traditions off the flexbone triple-option and several other types of triple-option but in the end it has always produced positive yardage and that is what we want at Georgia Southern. Now keep in mind we are not saying we do not want a passing game we want the passing game to integrate into our triple-option identity. Once the passing game identifies itself in our triple-option it will materialize into the tradition as well we want stable running game but we do not want a running game without a stable passing game. Coach Lunsford looks great for the job he hears you he has implemented under the center triple-option he has also implemented the shotgun which gives us opportunity to pass but the problem with that is when you drop back into the shotgun mode teams automatically think you're going to pass so if you're going to run a triple-option play without the pass in your running they don't really know it will take them off of surprise so with that I do agree to implement the shotgun mode but we need shotgun mode passes if the run is not there , the quarterback should check down back up into the pocket and pass the ball that is what we need to develop in reality and normality will show Force show for that the quarterback will have enough skill to check down to see rush to fall back into pass. And I see that in Coach Chad Lunsford's Coaching persona .And whats so great, we have Cook, who knows exactly what we have. We are there with the the move to Coach Lunsford , And we don't even know, that it's back, and is creating the Frankenstein of football, just look at what's materializing, It is about to be on at Georgia Southern. And I promise you will see it before the end of the season. And I ask , for you not to be shocked if a win comes against Georgia State, because they are creating a monster down here in Statesboro , Ga, and when it comes out ,Let's just say, You ain't seen nothing yet.
