Georgia Southern Football

Georgia Southern Football has been a part of my life for many years. And the loss to Georgia State was not wanted by any means. The up side is another team is going to a bowl game from Georgia. It proves a few things. One , would be Georgia Southern should always take the teams coming in seriously. Two , Georgia has another team in so no problem. We should all be ok with this. Eagle Nation don't have any kind of issue with the loss. Next year , we all hope for a different outcome. But as far as the Sunbelt Georgia is showing the quality of players , coaches , from the highschool level to college level , quality looks good. The Bowl Game for both teams are going to be important to both schools. Bowling Green Falcons will be the next to face Georgia Southern , and i see a three score game in the Eagles future. Georgia Southern must do this for our community. I read articles claiming it to put us on the map. I think to myself , are you kidding me ? We had Georgia whipped. Just look at the final play by Georgia (Holding , not called on Georgia) We are on the map. We are the map. But i know other teams are out there. There really should be game review and atleast call a tie against Georgia. Who knows when we will play them again. The Sun belt has really come around , giving our players every chance needed to strive. We need a bigger stadium if we want to bring big names. Big names equal big revenue. Big revenue equals bigger and better things. We need to match or surpass Appalachian State . And if not their program will be with a bigger conference within five years. This also Guarantees the Sun belt to have good programs. Really it assures Georgia Southern a brighter future. Our team deserves a strong conference. We hope the Sun belt can be that. If not Georgia Southern shouldn't hesitate to move on. Our college should always look at what helps the athletes. But our town desires success , winning, and being in a winning conference. We have a great coach. If we don't take the steps we need to he will leave. It is hard for Georgia Southern Football to Schedule big names because they know we can beat them. 2016 commits are coming in. If recruits knew tradition they would come here . Not to mention how the community treats them. I hope all will push for more , when it comes to our athletes. We need the tools to progress into the future and keep tradition. I have also been wondering why our bowl game will be on ESPN and Appalachian Football will be on CBS sports. And as well as most of our games don't get true national tv exposure. Georgia Southern should get better television spots. If nothing else like a regional airing of the games. Do not tuck us under a rug , or hold us back. An Eagle is of the wild , eventually it breaks free and finds a better place to eat. Our community expects the Bowl title game to be brought back to Statesboro G.A. And be in a better position for a top bowl spot next year. Our team belongs in the ranks of S.E.C. the A.C.C and the likes. We want the hard games. We want big names to come here. And by now the Eagles should be well known Nation Wide. My love for our football team stems back to my young days. We must always demand the best for our college. We started from nothing and will end with the same if we do not strive for the best. And whatever conference Georgia Southern is in , they need to really take care of Georgia Southern or it could come back to haunt them. This means quality T.V. exposure , high quality teams to play, and not just sit us on the shelf just to wait for us to break. Georgia Southern University will never wait to move forward.
